Meg Otanwa started acting professionally in 2011 and has since featured in several movies and TV series, notably I”ll take my chances’, ‘Gidi Culture’, ‘October 1′ and as one of the female leads in the hit TV series,’Before 30’ Single in Gidi is her on stage debut production.
Leele Byoma career in film and television began in 2011. Some of her screen credits include ‘Catwalq’, ‘Hoodrush’,’Mrs Somebody’,’Knocking on Heaven’s door’ and ‘Stray thoughts’. Her career on stage birthed in 2012 on the platform of the Black Heritage Festival.
Omoye Uzamere is a well-rounded performer with a background in theatre and television presenting.She started acting professionally in 2007, after doing amateur theatre and production for a while. She is also an OAP, known as Brownie, with Rhythm 93.7
Timi Charles – Fadipe has several years of theater, film and television experience which includes work with Quicksilver Theatre and The Fascionistas Theatre Company in the United Kingdom. His Lagos acting debut was the stage production of Oh How Dearly I Detest Thee produced by ‘Thespian Muse’
Tosin Oguntayo is a guitarist and musician with a sense of rhythm form the day he was born. He started performing since 2010 and has accompanied many multi-talented artists. Although he is not a professional actor, Tosin joins the cast of Single in Gidi with a fresh talent never seen in Nigerian theatre.
Austin Onuoha started his professional acting career with the performance of Wole Oguntokun’s ‘Ladugba’ in 2004. He has since gone on to star in over 50 stage and TV productions and has also performed in FESTINA, The Taruwa Festival of Performing Arts, The Edingburg Fringe and a few others.
Lydia Idakula- Sobogun is the producer of Single in Gidi (the play). She is one of the leading advocates of the modern Nigerian Theatre industry and is the CEO of Gbagyichild Entertainment, home of the TARUWA brand, which comprises the monthly open mic performance evening, a magazine and an annual performing arts festival
Sheila Ojei is the creator of Single in Gidi (the blog) and now the writer of Single in Gidi (the play). Sheila is also a singer, scriptwriter and a spoken word artist privileged to grace many stages including the Nuyorican Cafe in New York, Love is – the musical and one of the headliners for Finding Home, a spoken word theatre production
Kenneth is the Director of Single in Gidi (the play). He has worked on over 200 productions in TV, Stage and film to his credit including he Hit Broadway Style Show SARO THE MUSICAL 1& 2. He was recently commissioned as a member of the LTF Board where he acts as a Festival Director for the British Council Lagos Theatre Festival (2014 – 2017).
